Return Policy Overview 

We strive to provide the best shopping experience, and we want you to be happy with your purchase. Please review the following guidelines for returns and exchanges. We reserve the right to change or modify this policy at any time without notice. 

We want you to love your purchase, and if something isn't quite right, we're happy to help! Most new, unused, and unworn items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days (Products purchased after October 31, 2025 can be returned or exchanged until January 15, 2026) of purchase - just make sure they're in their original condition, with tags attached and in the original packaging. Sale items are also eligible for return or exchange within this window, so you can shop with confidence. Shoes can be returned as long as they were tried on for sizing purposes only and show no signs of wear. Orders placed online can be returned either in-store or online. Please continue to the next section for products that are deemed final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. To keep things fair for everyone, we’re unable to accept returns on any items that show signs of wear.

Proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges. 


Final Sale Items 

The following items are Final Sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges:

  • Gift Cards
  • Skincare Products, Chalk, Grip Spray, and Shoe Spray Products
  • Hardware & Safety Equipment (Belay devices, Quickdraws, Carabiners, Ropes, Helmets, Other climbing hardware and safety equipment) 
  • Clearance products

Return & Exchange Eligibility 

  • Unused/Unworn Items: New, unused items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase, provided they are in original condition with tags attached and original packaging.
  • Shoes: Shoes must be unworn and clean - dirty or used shoes will not be refunded. 
  • Special Orders: We do not accept returns or exchanges for special orders.

Returns will not be accepted if items, including shoes, show any signs of wear.


How to Return an Order 

  • You can return items in person at our store or ship them back to:

  • After shipping, email us at returns@climbsmartshop.com with your order number as the subject and include the tracking number and reason for return. 
  • Returns must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase. 
  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Shipping fees are non-refundable. 
  • Use a trackable shipping method (Canada Post, UPS, FedEx). Climb Smart Shop is not responsible for lost packages - please contact the carrier directly if issues arise. 

Inspection & Restocking

  • All returns are inspected. We may refuse a return or apply restocking fees. 

Important Notes

  • Damaged Boxes/Items: We reserve the right to refuse a return if the item packaging or product is damaged
  • Return Packaging: Please include a note inside the return package indicating it is a return along with your original order number.
